What is mean the Gyttja?
Simply the Gyttja is mean sediment rich in organic matter deposited at the bottom of a eutrophic lake.
Gyttja is brown and look like gel. When Peat buried to the depth ( under the sand) oxygen level is down. Then, Anaerobic systems creates the gyttja. Gyttja is the coal-forming part of peat. But coal-form is started when enough depth. Then , Gyttja sends water to outside from ıtself. Also, another part of this cycle is the temperature. They need always more temperature. gyttja is the layer between coal and sand in the lignite beds.

Basitce Gyttja , ötrofik bir gölün dibinde biriken organik madde bakımından zengin tortudur.
Ötrofik göl zengin organik çökeltiye sahiptir. Ancak bu gölün oksijen seviyesi çok düşük. Bazen ötrofik göllerin rengi değişir.Göl rengi yeşil olur.
Gyttja kahverengidir ve jel gibi görünür. Turba gömüldüğünde (kumun altına) oksijen seviyesi düşer. Ardından, Anaerobik sistemler gyttjayı oluşturur. Gyttja, turbanın kömür oluşturan kısmıdır. Ancak yeterli derinlikte kömür formu başlar. Ardından Gyttja kendi bünyesinden dışarıya su gönderir. Ayrıca, bu döngünün diğer bir kısmı sıcaklıktır. Her zaman daha fazla sıcaklığa ihtiyaç duyarlar.. Öte yandan Gyttja(gidya), linyit yataklarında kömür ve kum arasındaki tabakadır.
